Human first

 Human first

You are human, first and true,
With dreams that quietly live in you.
Not just the names that others claim,
But tender soul, not bound by name.

Before the roles that life assigns,
You had your own unspoken lines.
A heart that longed, a mind that knew,
A self that bloomed in shades of you.

You give, you carry, you endure—
But still, your spirit must be sure,
That worth was yours from your first breath,
Not tied to love or life or death.

So pause awhile, come back to grace,
The world can wait—just hold your space.
For you are more than what you give,
You’re someone too, who’s meant to live.
